Could someone

tell me what MB 12 is and how it

helps ourkids? Also,

what is the diffeence between Valtrex and Acyclovir? My son is starting

Acyclovir, but the blue capsule it is in has the blue dye #40 and he

had a mild seizure the 1st try 9he hadn't had any seizures for 4

months, and his can always be attributed to some

additive, sugar, food

allergy.) Does anyone know if ican open this capsule and let him take

the med out of it ? I am gooing to

ask his Dr, but ithought someone

may be able to help with these questions. Thanks

Acyclovir is Famvir, another antiviral.  Yes, you can take the med out of the capsule and you probably should if it is dyed.MB12 is methyl b12 - a b vitamin and it helps support the methylation pathways.  Many of our kids are undermethylators and need lots of methyl donors.  Here is some basic information on methylation:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MethylationCherylOn Oct 23, 2007, at 10:29 AM, rebekah_mata wrote:Could someone tell me what MB 12 is and how it helps ourkids? What is the recommended MB12 to use? Pamela Leigh wrote: MB12 completes the methylation cycle. Pamela "Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared." Are you sure the dye caused the seizure? It may have been the anti-

viral attacking HHV6 , which resides in the cerebellum and can

trigger febrile seizures:

HHV-6B has been associated with febrile seizures, status epileptics

and mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. I found this information on the

following website:

http://www.hhv-6foundation.org/testing.html

A good website to learn about MB12 is:

http://www.drneubrander.com/Files/Methyl-B12;%20Myth,%20Masterpiece,%

20or%20Miracle.pdf

THe above webstite references MB12 shots rather than the nasal spray

Stan refers to. In any event, it is a good read concerning MB12.

I hope that helps!

MB12 completes

the methylation cycle.
