Guest guest
One more opinion on Westview. Our story is very similar to 's. In fact, it is likely that our daughter, Kelli, was there at the same time as . Jane really got us going. She was pretty direct about it but that's what we needed at the time. Kelli attended from the age of 3 until the start of 1st grade (she is in 6th grade now). I still remember dropping her off and picking her up at the old house that was the original school. The new school is near my office so we keep an eye on them and stay in touch with Jane. Kelli did very well there and was welcome to stay but we chose public school supplemented by lots of private therapies. By the time she left Westview, Kelli was becoming verbal and she is able to interact verbally for most anything now. We witnessed some heart-wrenching situations with other kids that were not acceptable but I really think Jane was doing the best she could with the resources she had available. Guest guest
Another one... their academic standards seem pretty stringent to me. My 7 year old is highly verbal with behaviors on the milder side. Based on my conversation with Jane, my daughter would not be a fit at Westview because of her academic aptitute (or rather lack thereof). I don't know about your children, but my kid is highly task-avoidant and that poses the most challenges to her academically. Aliza " HALL, RICK " wrote: One more opinion on Westview.
