Guest guest
As a parent, you have a right to every scrap of paper with your child's name on it. You may want to consider signing up for the Pete boot camp the 3-4 of March to learn about this in more detail. I know I will be as I'm in Houston ISD too. (I'm assuming HISD is Houston and not Humble). You should request it in writing, or if you're already tired of the run around, then file a Freedom of Information Act Request (FOIA) I think someone on the list has the text for that. S. Need Info. regarding School Level Systems for HISD's Behavior Classes Hi: My son who is ASD is in a Behavior Services Class at HISD. It was called the BAC several years ago. Can anybody help me? I am trying to do a comparison for the last three school years regarding the school's use of the Crane Reynolds Level System to what it is today. School won't give me information. I need to know how many points does it take, for a student to achieve a level? How long does a student have to maintain the top level, which was 5 for the Crane Reynolds and 4 currently, in order to be mainstreamed? Is anyone familiar with these programs? I would appreciate any input. Please note: If you are not familiar with the BAC, or the BSC, don't let school officials ever talk you into placement for your child there. It is babysitting class and once they're in, they don't come out. They manage behaviors during school hours, but the untrained teachers have no experiece and can't teach children with ASD, HOW to behave. Also the academics suffer. I have found, after 8 years, they usually have uncertified teachers in this setting as well.
