Guest guest
This weekend for us was monumental. Tristan, age 9, won a gold medal, coming in first in his division in basketball skills, at the Special Olympics in Austin. Tristan has moderate to severe autism. We were so happy that he was participating and really trying to meet his goals. Just for him to be there competing was uplifting. We are ecstatic and full of joy for him. We hope this is the beginning of the good things to come. Lake High School, where the competitions took place, is also the place our oldest son received the MVP award from ville High School, the same district Tristan played for. Ironically, little Tristan wore the same uniform his uncle did, though the jersey came to his knees, as that was the only one available. C.
