Guest guest
i am working to find the cheapest system that works together. yes, of course my time is valuable, and i've spent a lot of it on trying to figure all this stuff out. i am close to a solution, and i think it'll also be a low cost one. part of the problem we have in getting the things we need to get done, is the "MD" (make dough off this person) syndrome, and i just don't buy into that. we, as doctors and business owners, must know how to do these things, otherwise we will continue to be at the mercy of those who encourage us to "just be a doctor, we'll handle everything else", while charging us lots of money, upfront and on a recurring basis. i've had enough of that. i've looked at EZ some more, and although there is a small amount of double entry initially, i can get around that by using dual monitors, and control c & v for the few pieces of information back and forth between AC and EZ. i am going to give EZ a try, and we'll see how that works.i think comparisons would be helpful-- perhaps everyone could present one year and five year costs of emr/information management/billing costs, and then we could compare how different systems stack up. Would you not be better off going to a more robust EMR that does all this stuff for you without you having to reinvent the wheel time and time again. I would thinks Eclinical, Emd or soapware with lytec would serve you so much better. I do not have any ties with any of these. If your payments are delayed or hassled it also makes it hard even collect a dollar a day. I bet the one that would beat the dollar a day over all is soapware with lytec, especially when you add in the cost of your time and opportunity cost.
