3 year re-eval question

My son receives speech services only through the school and he is up for his

3 year re-eval. As you all know, my son has 2 diagnosis from a developmental

ped and a child psych of ASD and PDD-NOS that the school does not accept. I

was going to request a couple of Asperger assessments and an intelligence

assessment as part of his re-eval, but was told that because all he receives

is speech, the only thing they can re-evaluate him for is speech. Is that

true?
