Hi all,

This is the first post for me. I have been interested in Valtrex

after seeing the DAN videos and the particular stories of Ethan's

recovery because it did not involve chelation. We were doing the

DAN! protocol but became disillusioned with the trauma of IV

chelation (at the time I did not know there was any alternative),

heavy duty supplements that were hard on our son's stomach, and

exorbitant prices. We have been doing homeopathy and SCD for the

past three months. We are seeing progress with both but we realize

that he has a yeast overgrowth due to the constant carb cravings (he

currently only eats two foods that he thinks are complex carbs which

are scd legal ice cream and blueberry muffins). We have tried

everything and consulted with SCD experts to get him onto other

foods and haven't had much luck. Anyway, this is related to the

valtrex and antifungal/antiviral treatment. After reading Stan's

disseration on autism as an infection it totally makes sense to me.

We are going back to a DAN! practitioner at the end of this month.

It's very hard to get into see these people these days! In the

meantime, has anybody had experience in getting their family doctor

or pediatrician to prescribe VAltrex and/or an antifungal. If so,

what did you say. I know I need a doctor's prescription but have not

been able to convince our doctor to help me (go figure). Anyone in

the south florida area that is a compliant doctor? Any help and/or

encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are on the right track.

Groups like this one are VERY busy these days thanks to Hurricane . J I have a feeling that DAN! doctors are very busy right now also.

I’m sorry you had a previous bad experience.
