Guest guest
I have had migraines since I was 7 or 8. I have had all kinds of pain killers over the years. Anyway, almost two years ago, I started getting really bad migraines that went on for a few days with no pain relief. I was sent to a neurologist here in Belgium. He went over my medical history and decided to prescribe 400 mg. of riboflavin (vitamin B2) as a preventative. He told me to try it for three months. It has worked really well. I still get about one migraine a month but it it quickly stopped with a dose of a pain killer and doesn't come back. Some months I don't even get one anymore. The only side affect is deep yellow urine. That is it and that is why my neurologist decided to try it with me since I have so many drug allergies and other problems like asthma and very strong heart problem history in my family (though not in me). Accoirding to a study in Lancet, I think, it works on about 60-65 % of migraine sufferers. I have to have the pharmacy compund it for me. in Belgium mchristinad@...
