Guest guest
Parents, I have serious concerns about a physician who claims he knows what CAUSES autism and that he has a CURE. He is the only one in the world. Many of my students were patients of his and I have yet to see anything positive. He promises parents that their child will be talking in six months and years later-- no expressive language. He puts children on Valtrex for herpes virus 6 which he says resides in the middle ear of children with autism. With all the children I worked with, this protocol made them super aggressive and stimmy and I spent months resolving behavior problems instead of teaching. He has no published research, no papers or research that has been peer reviewed and no studies that have replicated his findings with his NeuroSensory Enhancement technology. If he has no control studies, how does he know which virus he is treating-measels, mumps, rubella or something else? I saw him at a conference and he had the worst attitude. He basically told a parent that they did not know their child and he did because " I am a doctor and I know everything. " I wanted to throw something at him. He makes parents wait for hours and then he waltzes through the waiting room carrying his golf clubs. I have worked in Austin for 7 years with children with ASD, and I honestly cannot stand this doctor. I have a very strong biological sciences background, strong research background, years of clinical experience in medical settings and am clinical assistant qualified. I have a B.S. in Child Development and Family Relationships from UT at Austin and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education also from UT at Austin. I am also a Board Certified Beavior Analyst. I would never tell a parent not to try a treatment for their child, but please do your homework with due diligence. Kaci
