Guest guest
LOL- We LOVE Shriners! It was SHriners who took care of JImmy being in leg braces, and who found his heterotopia. They also discovered his seizure disorder. (he has atypical type seizures, due to the hetrotopia). They continue to follow him, now every 6 months. He has an orthopedic doc there, a neuro and a geneticist. I was just sitting here last nite pondering them.and the Mc House near Childrens Memorial. 3 years ago me and Jimmy spent the holiday at the Ron. McD House because he had an MRI under sedation and did not wake in a timely manner from the sedation. So, now every year our family drives back and contributes to a Holiday Party the McD House has. (maybe it was 4 years ago, I lose track) On Wed nite past, Jimmys scout den leader had said while the scouts cannot do a fundraiser, they had ways they could still do something to help, I am not sure what they meant, but our local Moose sponsors our scout pack. I had not thought of that becuz last March when my best friend was dying, and their bills were mounting I had tried to do a fundraiser for their family (they have kids, and their family had had much tragedy) - the Moose did not want to help- so I did not even think of it at all. I tried to find information for doing a fundraiser on my own , and it sure seemed complicated to me, all the bureaucratic parts... I was also sitting here thinking about donations, food baskets etc. Our family had at one time recieved this kind of help when my husband first fell ill...and since we got on our own feet we have been steady donators since. My middle dtr stands at storefronts and collects donations with our Chamber of Commerce and we all go sort the donations and help deliver them. My Marine Corps League also does our Toys for Tots.....so all this has been on my mind...LOL- on the other side, of course. (as a contributor) My fav cookies? It changes every year. I have always been a huge cookie baker...as many as 30 kinds of cookies every Christmas. Shared with any docs office, any place of business we utilyze thru the holidays etc...as well as for friends and family. I love rolled cut sugar cookies and cookies pressed out of a press and chocolate chip and oatmeal...just not store bought cookies, LOL. Sadly, I am not as adept with making soup, so I am glad my cyber soup helped, LOL. - In , " nonny46 " <nonny46@y...> wrote: > > Hey lady, > > Thanks for the soup!
