My son-in-law has a friend who does the Iditarod, and took my grandson up to see the dogs being trained last year at a friend's place. I have never been to Alaska, but it is one of my dreams. I am currently having a horrible time with depression and Bipolar 2...running away is one of my 'solutions' when I am having a heck of a time. Do you have a place I can pitch a tent? Guest guest Posted December 12, 2005 Report Share Posted December 12, 2005 Just a chuckle for those with dogs. There is a guy in my neighborhood who must be in training with his Malamutes. He has a four dog team and a large scooter racing through the neighborhood every morning and evening. Beautiful site to see. Maybe there is a Southern California version of the Iditarod?
