Never

heard that one before. Who told you that?

Why sending claims in batches?

Would someone mind

explaining to a naive third year resident why

claims have to be send in batches of 20?

Thanks, Marius

They do that in my residency office...and then I saw that word " batch "

again in Amzing Carts.

We send claims in batches, but the batch can be a batch of one. That is just the languate associated with electronic claims. Your residency might be choosing batches of 20 just to keep the batch size under control so it's easier to proof read and follow up on, etc.

There is no limit to the size of batches and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You have time limits to file with insurances and if you wait until your "batch" is big enough you may never file in time.
