Guest guest Posted December 11, 2005 Report Share Posted December 11, 2005 Hi all, I knew this period of me not being in that much pain had to be to good to be true and I was right. I went to bed last night, left knee screaming and left side of neck/shoulder/arm/wrist/hand screaming almost as loudly. As a result I don't sleep worth a darn and when I woke up this morning, I could put no weight on my left knee at all. My knees, ankles and wrists are swollen and the center of my spine, along the joints, is red and hot to the touch. The pain meds that usually work so well for me, and I'm on quite a few, aren't doing anything at all. I'm in so much pain it's impairing my judgment and making me *very* nauseous... You might need to call your doctor, and get something that will get you out of the flare. Usually a short time steroid will do the trick. I don't really relate to what is called a flare... I have bad days and ok days, but never feel fine.. sometimes I think life is one big flare.
