Guest guest
From the MD in Drain, Oregon, I have always gotten extra things from patients: apples, recipes, food samples of different kinds, flowers. When they give me money, however, I send a thank you note and give it to hospice or the girl scouts. That is just me...I don't like taking the money. I just got an Xmas card today from a pt with a $50 CHECK!! on the note at the bottom of the check it said "for special care" I thin they appreciatedthe time I spent with them on the phone the other day whichwas less than 5 minutes. WOW, I didn't even have to submita bill for a VOV or a telephone consult. This is getting reallyweird guys....I'd like to frame it but I guess I'll cash it. I'll use this anecdote inmy presentations for sure.People have tried to pay me MORE than my office charge onseveral occasions. Blows me away.Anyone else with an experience like this???PamelaPamela Wible, MDFamily & Community Medicine, LLC3575 st. #220 Eugene, OR 97405roxywiblecomcast (DOT) netwww.idealmedicalpractice.org __________________________________________________

ONCE i got a pilgrims " doll " set centerpieces made out of the center of toilet paper rolls and some yarn. Its the thought that counts. Re: Getting TIPS from patients!!
