Okay Auddi,

Look deeply into my eyes....you are getting sleepier...and sleepier...as you

hear the word vegetables your mouth begins to water...your tummy begins to

growl...you can't imagine anything more delicious than

vegetables...vegetables...delicious vegetables...

Yes..that's right....now you've got the right idea.

What is Udo's Oil, what does it do, where would I get it and approx.

how much does it cost?

So far today this is what I have done:

6:30am - walked on treadmill for 20 minutes. I was a wimp and didnt

do it for the entire 30 minutes and it was only at 2.6 mph. So not

real good but will do better on Friday. I was soooo winded this

morning so I backed off.

8:00 - 1 scoop of EAS Whey Chocolate protein (20g protein, 4g carbs)

with 12 ounces of skim milk. I upped the milk otherwise it was too

chocolaty this morning.

I have planned for the rest of the day:

9:30 - Meal #2 - Fried Rice from the recipe someone posted yesterday

with brown rice, carrots and peas and sunbird seasoning. I used

about 1 TBSP of the seasoning for my 2 cups of rice. I am only

eating 1 cup of the fried rice. I also added shredded chicken breast

to it after measuring out my rice. The chicken is somewhere in the

neighborhood of 20g of protein. The can said that per 2 oz of

chicken there was 15 grams of protein. When drained, the 10 oz can

became 8 oz. I measured it in cup form since I couldnt find a

scale. The whole can measured to be 1 cup so I gave myself 1/3 of a

cup. Pretty good I thought. I couldnt believe how much food that

actually was.

12:00 - Meal #3 - Salad with Baked Chicken Chunks that I cooked last

night with Salsa for salad dressing. YUMMY!

2:30 - Meal #4 - Same as Meal #1

5:30 - Meal #5 - Shredded Chicken breast with corn, kidney beans,

green peppers and salsa in a whole wheat tortilla shell. I only want

to eat one so I will pack it full of all of that with lettuce too.

7:30 - Meal #6 - Gonna try the cottage cheese, apples and cinnamon.

9:30 - BEDTIME!!!

I hope that I am getting everything I need and not too much of the

stuff I dont.

you usually find it at a whole foods market/health food store. it is efa

essential fatty acids, as i recall i think it is about $30 for a bottle, it

should be found in a refrigerated area and you'll need to keep it in the

fridge. my bottle lasts about 1 month. it contains flax, sunflower, sesame,

bran, and evening primrose oil. also rice germ, soy lecithin and rosemary

extract. it is supposed to aide in fat loss, can not find a link i had so if

someone has a link to an article please post. i think it tastes kinda

buttery but some folks do not like the taste. note, my personal theory is

the taste can change based on your ph level. at times it has tasted a bit

bitter to me. you can put it on a salad, in a shake or just take a spoon

full (i do this).

someone may have covered this earlier. but you need to look at the book

again. your cardio is supposed to be 20 min with various levels of effort

from 5-10. it does not sound like you are hitting your peaks. trust me do

this and you will sweat like you would not believe!

Yep, cinnamon is good on cottage cheese even without applesauce.

Another good " sprinkle " if you are not feeling sweet-toothy is celery

salt, have some raw veggies on the side and some whole wheat crackers

as the carb. It's good " munchie " food... I eat it when I watch

football on Sundays (instead of chips and dip).

I know, I didn't do my peaks at all this morning. I didn't because

of two reasons. I had food poisoning yesterday so everything is a

little out of whack, and with only doing the first 5 minutes at 2.6

mph, I was exhausted. I wanted to stop right then. I pushed myself

to do 20 minutes and believe me, I had to take a shower and wash that

tshirt. I was soaked. I have to get back into swing of things

again. I just didn't believe that pushing my heart rate to more than

156 beats per minute was very healthy this morning.

Am I wrong?

I just didn't believe that pushing my heart rate to more than

Still soaked, but my heart was racing like it was this morning. My

target is 140, I believe anyway.

Remember I have had a heart attack, so I try not to go more than what

the doctor has stated.

Amy...

My cat loves broccolli and rice. But snubs his nose at egg whites. Go

figure! He does like the leftover boiled yolks tho. (don't we all)

For sugar cravings I do nothing about it except write down what I want.

Then at 6AM on Saturday (my free day) I go out to the grocery store and buy

enough to last one day. (Last free day was the pound of frosted animal

crackers and flan). I usually finish off what I buy so I'm not tempted by

it during the week.

I remember now. I had chose not to use it last time because I ate

fish 3-5 times a week. And I believe that in Bill's supplement

review it stated that if you ate fish often, you were not in the need

of it.

Now my question to you is this:

What do you all use for cravings? I have a bad one right now for

sugar!!!!

Almost every day I have my usual cottage cheese,

chopped apple, and cinnamon mixed in a bowl. Eating

cottage cheese is boring but this combination gives it

a nice sweet crunch.

Sugar is evil, I tell ya, it's plain evil. Just physically apply it

to your hips because that's where it's going to end up.

Some of you might gag at this suggestion, but cottage cheese is actually

really good with roasted garlic, cilantro, and bell pepper :-)

Pretty good. Is that enough carbs? I think skim milk only has 8 carbs for

Amen sister. I love egg fried rice and you are right.. My plate is HEAPING

when I fix that. I think to myself every time " I can't eat all that " . Yet,

somehow I find room ;)

OK.. you have kidney beans, corn AND a whole wheat tortilla in there. Be

very careful thats 3 carbs. Might make sure there are very little

corn/beans in there or skip them all together.

Yay! Proud of you for giving it a go. Do what i do (I used to love CC and

got the " ick factor " after eating so much of it). Just don't look at it,

scoop up a huge spoonful and chew it real fast.

It's not food.. it's fuel anyway!

Ok with lunch, how about a whole wheat roll or something of that

nature? I am at work, so I either have to skip it or eat something

they have. I know they have whole wheat rolls. What kind, I have no

idea.

I will leave out the beans with corn with dinner. I only eat about 8-

10 kidney beans so I think that will be ok.

Now as for the tortilla... I couldnt believe how much I had to pay

for them here not to mention how long it took to find them. I sent

my hubby to find them and he went to 11 stores and finally ended up

at an oriental store! Why they would have them, who knows. Anyway,

for 12 tortillas, he spent $11.50!!!! My hubby came home and said " I

sure hope these tortillas are lined with GOLD! ok so that was funny,

but there has to be an easier way and cheaper way. Is corn torillas

bad for you? Could I use them as a replacement?

discussed extensively here.

You can get it at an online health store and it costs $13.89 for a 17

oz bottle at Nutrition Megastore. Don't buy the capsules. They are

a bad value and you would have to take a bunch of them.

Doesn't look to me like you are getting too much. Don't worry about

it since you are eating the right things. It seems like most people

on this list that have asked about their food aren't eating enough

rather than eating too much.

$30 a bottle! That must be an extra large sized bottle like at 34 oz

I hope. I won't buy it at the local health food store since they

don't keep it refrigerated and it doesn't taste too good after it

goes bad.

I'd start off even slower than 2.6 mph next time so you can do

intervals. Start as slow as you need to so you can increase and then

decrease. I feel that the HIIT is very effective in conditioning

your heart. If you are doing it all at the same rate, you aren't

going to have the greatest benefit. If you feel that 2.6 mph is your

maximum, then make that your level 9.

All the more reason, I think the interval training is what you need,

but check with your doctor if you need to.

I am going to go for a walk tonight. It might be the differnce

between the treadmill and walking outside. I know that I shouldn't

do 2 cardio workouts in the same day, but since I didn't get the

whole one done this morning, I figure.. what the hell.

As for Fridays cardio, I will see what tonight brings with the

outdoors vs the treadmill. If it is the same, then I will start out

slower and do my interval training. If not, then I will do my

interval training outside.

Our LOUD cat loves the egg yolks and pretty much demands them every

morning after she has had her 9-Lives which she demands loudly to

have. After she is done with the yolks, the dog usually finishes

them off so nothing goes to waste. The dog has learned that cats

rule and dogs drool so the kitty gets to eat the yolks first.

Fully understood...sorry if I came across as comparing...not at all. I'm

completely new at this and am throwing my routine in the pot for feedback,

not comparison. I figure those numbers will probably be good for me for a

few more workouts before I can start to wind it up some more.
