Guest guest
I am sure they are fried. Also they are not going to be skinless so they are out. As for the 6th meal, I dont mind putting it in.. but what would I eat? I do not like cottage cheese, dont like eggs, dont like yogurt... should I just have another shake? Something with fruit in it? Like an orange julius? scoop of vanilla protein powder, 6 ounces of orange juice and half a banana with water in it to make it thin??? I use frozen orange juice ice cubes so I can either have 6 of them which are an ounce or less. ADVICE????? auddi > > This is tomorrows plan... > > > > Breakfast: > > 1 scoop of EAS chocolate protein powder > > 8 oz of skim milk > > > > Snack: > > 1 small banana > > > > Lunch: > > This is the hard one... at work we have a cafeteria that cooks > really > > good food. How much protein, how much carb? >Snack: >1 small banana OK... First, lets stop calling them " snacks " . They are meals. you eat the same amount of food 6 times a day. Meal 2: one banana isn't going to cut it. Some will tell you that bananas are ok if you eat them with a protein (like a cup of cottage cheese), Personally I stay away from them except on free days and maybe once a month not on a free day. MP eats one about every day.. WITH a protein! >Lunch: >This is the hard one... at work we have a cafeteria that cooks really >good food. Wednesdays meal is Hot and Spicy Chicken wings.. You need a protein and a carb. That's a veggie (well, a fiberous carb but that comes later). You could try some cottage cheese and yogurt here, maybe some left over chicken on a whole wheat tortilla. >Dinner: >Skinless, boneless chicken breast with veggies and 1/2 cup of brown >rice. I love this dinner! Could almost eat it every night. That's pretty good actually. Make sure it's enough chicken. I noticed on your website you had 1/4 chicken breast for one meal. Sorry, doesn't cut it. You need at least 3 or 4 ounces which is about 1/2 of a full breast (split breast). >No snack after dinner. No meal 6? Sorry, need that 6th meal. *poke* (you'll get those from me if I see you going off track). Don't like eggs? Well, try eggs a different way. I *love* egg fried rice BFL style. I have 7 whites and one yolk with mushrooms and rice sauteed with a bit of spray on pam. I use some fried rice seasonings made by Sunbird for flavor. >Now for the hard part! I am VERY PICKY! Stop thinking of food as emotional yummy stuff, and start thinking of it as fuel. Nothing more. Soon your tastes will change when you get that crap out of your system. I can go in the kitchen right now, open a can of tuna (share it with the cat) and eat the whole can without adding anything. A year ago, I would have barfed before I did something like that..... plus I would have had a thin amount on two thick slices of white bread. I can't even imagine that now. >Oh, if I eat this tomorrow will I be getting what I need? Too much? >Too little? Just make sure you dont buy " mixin chicken " . its umm.. i wont say gross, but its not as good as the chicken you can buy for making chicken salad. Guest guest
hah.. never heard of a bird eating tuna. Guest guest
Auddi: Something else that helps with cottage cheese... dice up the apples into small pieces (or use natural, no-sugar added applesauce), and mix it real well. Don't think of what it looks like, just concentrate on the apples. It works :-) Good luck... and let me know how it goes :-) - Wayne Re: Suggestions needed... > My hubby states that I taste everything with my eyes and not with my > tongue...so.. tomorrow night I have planned small curd cottage cheese > and apples. Guest guest
Auddi: Be careful with the chicken in a can... some of them are packed in oil, and some have a lot of salt. Check for one that is packed in spring water with no added salt (Star-Kist makes one, and so does Chicken of the Sea). Avoid the Underwood Devilled Chicken (added fat, salt, and sugar). - Wayne Re: Suggestions needed... > Question... > > Instead of tuna, how about the chicken in a can? Guest guest
Warning! The canned salmon usually has bones... spinal bones... ICK... be very careful if you're going to use canned salmon. Personally, I'd much rather have a nice salmon steak (with lemon pepper - no salt) and a baked potato with a little olive oil on it. *drool* - Wayne Re: Re: Suggestions needed... > Auddi... > > Canned chicken is fine. Guest guest
Andy: I just subscribed to Muscle Media magazine, and that article is what educated me about what's in lunch meat. Don't laugh when you hear this, but have you ever tried adding tuna fish to the eggs? It actually tastes really good, and adds some extra protein. Mushrooms in eggs are good... for something different, how about small cubes of sweet potato or some colorful, bell peppers? - Wayne Re: Suggestions needed... > Your warning on lunch meat reminded me of something. Only if it's frozen and covered in chocolate and nuts! On my free day (last Saturday) I had one bag (16 oz) of frosted animal crackers. (I could live on those!) Coconut flan (however many servings the recipe was) 2 slices short of a large Papa 's canadian bacon/pineapple pizza (the last 2 slices are in the freezer) 2 servings dried fish (can't help it, I'm asian) brown rice And guess what? I feel great! Ok, I did have a stomach ache by the time I went to bed but I got those cravings out of my system. This Saturday I'm having 1. Another package of frosted animal crackers (an officemate is guarding the package for me right now) 2. KFC's honey barbqued wings And whatever else I can think of by then Ann in Tucson

Guest guest
Okay (I will admit this only because I am to shortly be opening up a can of whup-a$$ on ya Lana) your cat is ever so much smarter than mine. BOTH of my cats come running from anywhere within a half-mile radius when they hear the can-opener, doesn't matter what I am opening. And they don't believe me when I tell them that it's not tuna, it's mushrooms or soup or something unappetizing to kitties - they have to sniff the lid first before they leave with disgusted looks on their faces. hehehe Jen B. > My cat knows the difference in the > sound of a *regular* can of food and a *tuna* can being opened.. he's like > *there*. Guest guest
Other things to add to eggs - spinach, mushrooms, cooked baby shrimp with a tiny sprinkle of jack cheese, onion, bell pepers, salsa, there are tons of other things. I have a great recipe for BFL sweet crepe made with eggs if you want it. IMO, that slice of ham isn't hurting you or Hugh, you guys have had great results. If it ain't broke don't fix it. My 10 o'clock snack and my 3 o'clock snack go according to this recipe: 8 oz 1% cottage cheese 6 oz blue bunny Lite 85 yogurt (any flavor except strawberry [yuck]) 1 T Udo's oil stir together. As I said, I don't like cottage cheese, but the blue bunny yogurt is too sweet, so they have to be mixed together, and it comes out just right. Hope this helps. Guest guest
The shrimp is a good idea. You are probably right that I shouldn't freak out about the ham since it is a very small amount and only 3-5 times per week. I suppose variety would be nice but I get used to buying and cooking the same things all the time. Andyman > > Your warning on lunch meat reminded me of something.
