Dear Dreamer,

What a wonderful, loving heart you have, and such good ideas too! OUr

church sponsors a " Giving Tree " for the community, including children

of all ages, and seniors in nursing homes. Ron usually takes a small

boy, I take a teen-age girl, and we each select a senior to buy for.

The gifts are then picked up at our church and distributed by the

agency who provides the information to us. Last year there was a young

mother (she was 18, her kids 2 and 3) and " adopted " her,

providing a huge container full of cleaning supplies, cooking utensils,

and baking mixes. I never thought of Mc D. house, but since

we're going to Indy on Wednesday, maybe we will make a stop there too--

thanks for the suggestion!

Last year I did do gift wrapping for people, I was at a bookstore.and I

donated the giftwrap......but even seeing if someone in your church or other

group might need help wrapping gifts is a great idea. I know when my RA flares

up, I cannot wrap gifts.

I love making cookies, it has been my signature for well- more years than I care

to admit. I used tomake at least 30 kinds of cookies (and 8 kinds of fudge) and

EVERYWHERE we went we took a small container of cookies with us....the checkout

girl at grocery store, the man at the gas station, the people at docs

office....even our waitress- everyone got to share our cookies!

SInging Christmas songs? WHAT FUN!

Shoveling someones walks? SUPER idea.again, my RA makes this task impossible

sometimes- an elderly neighbor or a super busy mom would LOVE the help, I am

sure!

I was reading a story yesterday while I did laundry at the laundromat about

" secret admirers " I was thinking how much fun it is to do some things

anonymously.

Tis the season. Thanks for giving me more great ideas!!!!!
