ok, more billing news-- there is a way to convert the AC semicolon separated billing file to tab delimited format that OA requires, and to do it automatically, using an excel macro. if that's done, then electronic billing from AC to OA is easy, and at no charge. someone, scslmd, on the AC forum, has done this and offered it (more than a month ago), but has not yet responded, either to myself (emailed yesterday) or to at least one other request (emailed some time ago). i have been told that the macro scsl created really does work with OA, by someone who knows for sure. AC is in the midst of getting the lab interface with labcorp done and debugged, so the billing file format change is not their top priority, much to my chagrin, and bugging AC further isn't going to be productive at this point. i can only think of a couple of other options-- everybody who's interested in this macro, please

go to the AC forum, and look at problems> cms 1500 posts, and email scslmd, requesting the macro. maybe if more people emailed him, scslmd might be more likely to respond; call OA ext 213 to brandon, in tech support, and tell him that we need this macro, and would they please write and distribute it, and for free. create it-- if i knew how, i would! alex, any ideas? OA has provided all the parameters for the file. please help, efficient billing without billing parasites represents the financially sustainable and practice viability part of low overhead practice; it's the money side of the coin opposite practicing out of a refrigerator box underneath a railway trestle. Larry,

Send me a few examples of the AC files where you want to convert

commas to tabs. I can't promise for sure, but if that's all that's

needed, I might be able to come up with a small program that would

just read in the AC files and output corresponding files where all

the commas were converted to tabs fairly easily. I would need some

sample files to experiment with. I haven't had a chance to read the

discussion about the macro you were talking about yet.
