Guest guest Posted December 13, 2005 Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 Hi... I went to the Drs.. even though they didnt accept my ins. I had to go...I couldnt deal with the pain. I lost my rheumy dr. when he opened a new practice... didnt accept my insurance anymore, and hard to find around her... My GP trying to help me alot...I can deal with a lot of it , but i cant deal with alot of it... so in the middle....Im allergic to prednisone...... found that out a few yrs back.... swelling on the brain............. so they are gonna try and keep me on anti -inflammatory with dbl stregnth plaquenil at 400 mg 2 x a day.. whos been on 800 mg a day of that??? my Liver enzimes have already been up so they want to wait to put me on anything else..the swelling in my chest was diagnosed today as Ra Manubrium sternum arthritis with sle... which so u know im mctd. She saw and felt the nodes in my arm and wrote it all down.. well at least she saw them... and i wasnt making it up... She got a bit worried and really started pushing on meds and stuff... So it seems to me dr. unless u really know them, dont seem to really care , unless they see or and feel what goin on with u...im up for tests the next 2 weeks and every 2 weeks after now.... deb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I take it at bedtime. I have been told by my eye doc that the high doses cause more eye problems. So I would make sure I get eye exams every six months or even closer if your doc recommends it.
