Here's a list of the "deals" I've been offered: 1 One guy wants me to accept responsibility for INRs for patients I've never seen, while he wanders around central Oregon with a PT cruiser equiped with a coumadin testing kit 2 One lady wants me to accept responsibility for Physical Therapy for people I do not know while she manipulates

them in some way I do not understand. 3 A nice middle class couple want me to accept $150 per patient to sign medical marijuana cards for people they have prescreened for me ($50.00 for them per patient plus whatever they charge these patients for the cost of growing the weed) That is just in one year. I assume I will get a special deal every six months or so. It all looks so reasonable to them: the fun is that they offer you MONEY to become unethical. I just look at them and say just

that: "But that would be unethical." And I give them a wide eyed look and they go away; I say "Bless you" on their way out the door. I thought for a while it was because I was a little clinic in a little town that they thought they could con me. Now I just think they are jerks who are always looking for marks. They state that they'll "refer" pts to you in your state, send their records by fax, you'll interview by video conferencing, and then if prescription advised, you're to send this for 90 day. Pts on further inquiry were pts "whose insurance doesn't pay enough for their current doc to see them" You're required to keep all the "records" at your office. This sounds very very fishy to me. Anyone else heard of doing "virtual visits" for pts never seen by you in office, ever, for very low rates? Oh, and the recruiter (who lists themselves as a "board certified

I would look into the name of the practice etc... I got a letter, mailed, but printed from an email from a patient I had seen once who had gone online to get some kind of stimulant, I can't recall what. Since I had no email available for pt use at the time, the website allowed him to print and mail the request for me to sign a script for him to get this stimulant from them through the mail. That place was in Florida. Both the patient and me are in Ohio.

tried that -- no online presence except found the llc at south carolina state website with no mention of florida location

How appropriate that the guy doing the INRs

is driving a PT Cruiser…

And what the heck is a “board certified

physician recruiter.” I googled the term and got no hits, but did find

the website for the National Coalition of Physician Recruiters at www.mdrecruiters.com. They don’t

mention that term, but they do note that they have a “job board” that

is “exclusive” and “nationally advertised.”
