Guest guest
Can someone remind me about the electronic biling service that several of you use...and rave about? You do the billing in-house and electronically submit...it seems many of you have been happy with this system. thanks Locke, MDBasalt, COEau (WI) Family Medicine Residency 19945 Years in Air Force -- [Laughlin AFB (Del Rio, TX) // Spangdahlem AB, Germany]Alpine Medical Group -- Private Group Practice since 1999http://www.alpinemedical.mdJob Share w/ WifeAMG went independent from hospital MSO 10/04AMG implemented Centricity EMR April 2005 AMG is dissolving Spring 2007 & Locke plan to set up Locke Family Medicine Spring 2007
Guest guest
, I use Gateway EDI for my clearinghouse after switching from McKesson in March of this year. The reason is that Gateway is able to autopost into my EMR (e-MDs). Although it is more expensive than some of the other clearinghouses ($99/month), it is very easy to use, has wonderful easy to read reports (including error reports), and it integrates well with my EMR—saving me a ton of time. (I would say autoposting of the EOBs is probably 4 times faster than doing it by hand). Also, I have found their customer service to be very good. (There is always a person answering on the other end and they always seem to know the answer). Finally, for a small fee, they have a feature where you can upload the next day’s schedule to have all patients insurance info confirmed prior to their appointment. As half or more of my appointments are same day, I do not use this feature, but I would think it would be a great asset if you were having a lot of rejected claims due to insurances not being updated. Overall, I am very pleased with my decision to go with them. Electronic Billing Service Can someone remind me about the electronic biling service that several of you use...and rave about? Guest guest
, Do you have a "biller" in your office? Or do you do all the billing yourself via Gateway EDI? Guest guest
I do it all myself. As a matter of fact, I just finished catching up on 6 weeks of back billing this weekend which took about 4 hours. (No, I don’t usually get that far behind, but I have been rather busy lately). You can visit the Gateway EDI website at www.gatewayedi.com. Note: No financial ties to Gateway EDI, it just works well with my software. Good luck!
