Guest guest
We've been through the frig temp and vaccines issue before... I'm happy to announce something that has helped me to maintain my vaccines at the right temp consistently. My frig is relatively inexpensive. Even on the " coldest " setting, the frig temp ranged from 40-46F. It drove me crazy as that " average 35-45F " for all the vaccines was often close to being missed. I filled up empty space with water-filled milk gallon jugs, etc, but still temp was often close to too high. Then last week some vaccines arrived in a styrofoam box with those little frozen rectangle bags inside. So I took all the vaccines out of their boxes, grouped them with age-related vaccines, put them all into small plastic bags and placed the bags into the styrofoam box with those frozen cool packs. Every couple days I switch some of the packs for others I've got in the freezer (to stabilized that temp at 0 to -8F) and voila! by keeping the top off the styrofoam box the vaccines are now in a space keeping the temp consistently at about 35-37 F! It's such a relief to not be imagining the loss of whole set of vaccines because of my frig! And maybe this idea could work for you too.
