1/2 myoplex 1/2 protein GREAT idea!

I know Jen B. has posted several times about using 1/2 a Myoplex and

adding protein powder. WEll, I FINALLY tried it--what a great idea!!

I used the same amount of water but used 1/2 a Cappaucino Ice Myoplex

and added 1 scoop of Choc. protein powder. It still made a big shake

but it was SO much easier to drink! It wasn't very thick at all.

The nutritional info came up as follows:

185 Calories

15 carbs

30 protein

I found out 1/2 a package is 1/4 cup so I am going to empty all my

Myo packages into a container and then just scoop out 1/4 each time.

for you. I started doing that because I can't stand how THICK the

Myoplex is! I know Andy likes it like that, but YUCK I can't gag it

down. I use the full amount of water too - 16 oz. water and 1/2 Myo

+ 1/2 Protein. The capuccino flavor Myo would be yumsers with

chocolate. I often make my choc. stuff with a cup of chilled coffee,

tastes like an iced mocha. Mmmmmm....

That sounds good. What kind of protein powder do you prefer??

I use EAS Precision Protein just because I like the taste and it

mixes really easily. I use it for straight protein shakes too - just

mix with some water and then I can eat my carb on the side (usually a

piece of fruit). I know several people who swear by Optimum

Nutrition's Complete Whey but I've never tried it myself. I think

either one of those would work really well. I just stick to EAS PP

because " if it ain't broke don't fix it. " :)
