Guest guest
I have moderator privleges. But I can only block people from posting. Which I have done for Neo-Reality/Andy. He may appeal to another moderator.... Why? > >Reply-To: bodyforlife >To: <bodyforlife > >Subject: Moderator >Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2001 17:02:36 -0400 > >Is there anyone on this list who has moderator priviledges and can unsub >someone from the list? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
If someone needs to unsubscribe, they should be able to go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bodyforlife, sign in and unsubscribe. They can also send an e-mail to bodyforlife-unsubscribe@ yahoogroups.com Andyman > Is there anyone on this list who has moderator priviledges and can unsub > someone from the list? Guest guest
I'm talking about unsubbing someone who will not willingly unsub themselves, even though everyone else wants them gone... -----Original Message-----From: Andy Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2001 5:11 PMTo: bodyforlife Subject: Re: ModeratorIf someone needs to unsubscribe, they should be able to go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bodyforlife, sign in and unsubscribe. Guest guest
Gotcha. I'm not sure who the main moderator is, but I think would know. Guest guest
I figured it out. He is listed in the list members. It is Angelo Bell ajbell2000@ yahoo.com Andyman > > I'm talking about unsubbing someone who will not willingly unsub > themselves, > > even though everyone else wants them gone... > > Re: Moderator > > > > > > If someone needs to unsubscribe, they should be able to go to > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bodyforlife, sign in and > unsubscribe. > > > > They can also send an e-mail to > > bodyforlife-unsubscribe@ yahoogroups.com > > > > Andyman
Guest guest
Just blocking him from posting to the list isn't enough. If he can read posts then he can get individual e-mail addresses. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that someone of his caliber having access to our e-mail information is not a comforting thought. I understand that you may not have the authority to do that, but I think that we should definitely have someone on here that does. I realized that the main moderator was someone I had never even seen post anything. Is that person willing to turn the list over to someone who is more active and can handle these issues before they turn into problems like it did recently? Guest guest
As you can see....he has decided to unsub himself. This does not mean he is not going to come back under a new name.....if you don't want you r email info available I suggest you set up a secoondary email address for just BFL or other lists. That is what I have done. It is a wise move. > >Reply-To: bodyforlife >To: <bodyforlife > >Subject: RE: Moderator >Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2001 23:06:15 -0400 > >Just blocking him from posting to the list isn't enough. Guest guest
I definitely recommend anyone who has issues with " him " to hide their personal email addresses here. As " he " has already taken begun to pester me off the list. I am beginning to belive there should be such a thing as cyber restraining orders! > As you can see....he has decided to unsub himself. Guest guest
and anyone else, If you are not sure who the moderators are, just send a message to this e-mail address: bodyforlife-owner Any e-mail sent to that e-mail address goes to all the moderators, including the list owner. I am list owner of several lists and we actually have out list moderator meetings by sending an e-mail to the list owner e-mail address so we all get the information and can discuss what should be done. If we have a problem on the list, instead of posting to the list and starting a flame war, we ask everyone to post complaints to the list owner e-mail address so all the moderators are aware of the listers concerns, we discuss it off list by sending e-mails to the list owner address so we can come to some sort of agreement, the list owner of course makes the final decision, unless we have delegated certain responsibilities, such as the task of reminding people to change the subject header when the thread changes and trimming posts so the digests are readable. ~Karma http://loaves-n-fishes.com http://www.karma.awarenesshealth.com Just blocking him from posting to the list isn't enough. Guest guest
Thanks, Karma.
