Guest guest
He spent the night at the hospital and they did all kinds of test today, including cardovascular. He does have gallstones, but they still haven't said anything about gallbladder removal. I know the CBC and platelets need to be a certain level prior to surgery. I'm thinking of taking this Friday off work and going to see him. It depends on when they do the surgery. He came to see me when I had my gallbladder removed last August. My sister said they took lots of vials of blood. They went to the ER at the liver transplant facality, because that is what they told him to do. Update - just got off the phone with my sister. All the blood work is for matching and everything required for liver transplant. The nurse told her that the gallstones don't seem to be causing problems, so not looking at gallbladder removal. At least he'll have current lab work to get a new MELD.

Guest guest
Just a little side note. They have the best food there at that hospital. Yeah I am not kidding. Have a friend who works for a doctors office near there and she goes to the hospital cafe to eat. Don't know what they do, but it doesn't taste like hospital food. And I know hospital food, I was a nurse for many years. You could die of starvation eating hospital food. LOL I went there for my liver biopsy and they fed me lunch. I was amazed at the quality of the food. Yeah they should have fed me. That cost the fool out of me. My co-pay on the biopsy, 880.00 dollars. That is why I am still working got to pay those medical bills. *sigh* Love Janet "There are souls in this world that have the gift of finding joy everywhere and of leaving it behind them when they go" Frederick Faber > > > From: Bill Eastman <beastmanaustin (DOT) rr.com>> Subject: [Hepatitis_C_ Central] update on my brother> To: Hepatitis_C_ Central@yahoogro ups.com> Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2009, 5:53 PM> > > > > > > He spent the night at the hospital and they did all kinds of test today, including cardovascular.
