Thanks Carol~

Yes, 120 to lose all gained from 3 pregnancies and like Amy I have a

stomach to show from it. I am determined and realizing that doing the basic

workouts will not be enough, so I will be adding 20 mintues of walking in my

treadmill when the hubby is home to watch the kids.

Keep cheering for me, and I will be posting as much as possible. I

lose motivation quickly, although with tae bo it hasn't happened.

Temera, what helped me was not looking at the BIG LONG TERM goal and go for

smaller more attainable goals. Sometimes it was a fitness goal, like being

able to get all the way though a workout without dying for breath! LOL! Or

just losing 5 pounds by a certain date. These smaller goals, as I reached

each one, felt like WONDERFUL victories! They kept me going! :o)

Let's see what you can celebrate NEXT! :o)

I totally agree with Carol. Rejoice the first time you hold a difficult

balance move or figure out a tricky combination move. That way, taebo will

always be challenging and fresh. We have control over our workouts; we don't

necessarily have control over our weight and clothes' size.

Totally agree and would like to add that we do have control over our attitude

as well

Don't let the workout control you or what works for someone else and not

necessarily for you determine your attitude

Listen to YOUR own body and mind

Be your own personal trainer

The current Muscle & Fitness Hers has a great article on setting long-term

achievable goals. Similar to above, it involves setting short-term realistic

goals and remembering to reward ourselves for making the short-term goals

also.

Bev and Carol~

Funny, I am reading my emails backwards but responding to this one

first. I actually have my goals in 10 lbs as well, although I am not losing

weight off the scale, so I posted the other day that I am not focusing on the

scale but measurements, and that my Feb. challenge is to workout 5 days a

week at a minimum and check every 2 weeks if I have lost inches. I gain

muscle very quickly and tae bo makes me do that.

But thank you for your suggestions and I agree with you also!!! I am so lucky

to have all of this support!!

Oh yes elena~

I do rejoice when I can do balancing moves, or like in BL I can do the

one where you stand on one foot and pull your leg in and out, it took me

several weeks, but I can get through almost all the reps now, and not hold

on!! I am rejoicing big time.

Thanks,

Temera

Temera,

I totally agree with Carol... I have a lot to lose as

well and I know if I focus on the big picture I will

not be able to get through this. I'm working on 10

lbs at a time. You just have to work on finding which

goals work for you.

That's what last year's WW program was about. They

called it the 10% difference. Instead of focusing on

the big picture, put it into smaller increments so it

wouldn't seem as overwhelming.
