i am heading into the end game and want to ask about remission. i've

had hep for over 30 years but never had any real bad effects from it

other then my alt being a consistant 40. it is now a steady 12. i am

undetectable and my doctor is even using the " cure " word. ok...my

question...what if i relapse? it took decades for me to show signs of

hep. now that i am undetectable and if it starts over will it progress

at the same rate?

p.s. we are having a snow storm in atlanta. the first in years and

years.

Take REAL good care of yourself Bob and never so much as look

at anything with alcohol content, not even so much as a near beer.

As a Geneotype 2 and with the way things have been going for you,

you have every reason to believe you are not ever going to

relapse, good buddy! Send the snow this way, we are in drought!

Bob, it takes years for the liver to fully regenerate if you have lots of damage but if you dont and you stop the virus early, you can do really well.. Now try not to worry too much, I know its hard to do but when you cross the finish line after being done with tx for 6 months, your chances of relapse drop to about 2-5%,, then when you reach 2 years post tx and are still SVR, its 1%... stay positive hon,,

hugs,

jax
