Guest guest
Mike, Call enbrel and ask for patient assistance. They do have agencies that they can refer you to for co-pay assistance. These agencies usually require you to have a co-pay of more than $50 a month to qualify. The ones I found were reimbursement programs. You pay upfront and they will reimburse you for the cost. I had problems with this kind of program. If I had the money up front to pay then I wouldn't need assistance. Plus waiting for reimbursement does not always work. Hmmm...what I am suppose to tell the morgage company while I wait for the check to get my money back? I choose not to take Enbrel or Humira after checking out the assistance options. I took Enbrel for over a year when I had really good drug coverage and it was a total waste of money and time. I ended up throwing about three months of the drug in the trash. It didn't work and I started having bad reactions. My stupid old rheummy told me keep taking it...I decided to stop...then a few weeks later he said stop...of course I had just filled the prescription again and I was required to get it via mailorder and three months at a time. Good luck Toni in Texas > > hi a and Lynn. i just got a letter from Enbrel about ins. chnges i'm afraid they are going to change it for next year. if so i just might have to go off enbrel. i can't afford $740 every 3 mos. i read some where that enbrel has a plan that might help on co-pays . i kind of scares me to go off enbrel i think it's the only thing that is keeping me out of a wheelchair. if i end up in a wheelchair you might as well shoot me. don't know what to do right now. seems like i got a lot of thinking to do about ins plans. your friend mike > > > --------------------------------- > Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Guest guest
Mike, calm down. I alos have great money concerns, but most drug companies have some sort of assitance programs. Ask you doctor or go on the internet and look at enbel, com or wyth.com (parent company). Or contact whatever government agency handles medicare or welfare or foodstamps in your part of the country. Believe me I know what I am talking about i get huneria thru there patient assitance program, my rhumy arranged it for me. You will need to fill out some paperwork, have a proof of income (taxes) and the doctor will need to sign it, Look into this it is doable. I get ultracet, mobic, humeria, and a few other drugs thu assitance progams, Please contact me if I can help you anymore. Guest guest
Hi Mike. I hope this isn't the case. But if it is, maybe you can get assistance from Amgen: Providers and patients interested in determining what financial assistance programs may be available should call Amgen's Reimbursement Connection® at 1-800-272-9376. The Reimbursement Connection has an extensive database of potential resources available to assist patients who are uninsured, underinsured or need assistance in paying their co-pays, including referral to independent patient assistance programs. Someone I know that became unemployed just faxed in their pay stubs and was immediately approved. I feel the same way you do. I KNOW Enbrel is what is keeping me out of the wheel chair. I'm always afraid it will loose it's effectiveness since I've been on it for so long. Guess I have to not worry about tomorrow. My insurance plan changed in October and we're faced with paying much more for our care. It's bad enough to pay top dollar for insurance, but then have to pay big money for care as will is just not fair. Crazy world we live in. a On Nov 25, 2005, at 2:37 PM, mike nelson wrote: > hi a and Lynn. i just got a letter from Enbrel about ins. > chnges i'm afraid they are going to change it for next year. if so > i just might have to go off enbrel. i can't afford $740 every 3 > mos. i read some where that enbrel has a plan that might help on co- > pays . i kind of scares me to go off enbrel i think it's the only > thing that is keeping me out of a wheelchair. if i end up in a > wheelchair you might as well shoot me. don't know what to do right > now. seems like i got a lot of thinking to do about ins > plans. your friend mike > > > --------------------------------- > Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs.
