: How cool is that! A new baby. I will never forget looking at our

newly adopted son and having this overwhelming feeling of complete love for

this baby. That feeling was seared into my brain memory for all time. I used

to thank God every night for the woman who gave up this baby to us. That

memory feeling came in handy when he turned into the ugly 17's and the prayer

changed to, " where the hell is his birth mother, she should be here with me at

am crying by the kitchen sink waiting for the little stinker to get in after

he snuck out. " I plastered all his baby pictures on the refrigerator door

so I could recapture that feeling of unconditional love that I felt.

Fortunately, that " baby " is now turning 35. He is truly a great guy. And I

can say

that after spending the last 10 days with him while moving his brother from

Denver to Portland, OR.

Anne: I always order Arroz con Pollo at Mexican restaurants. It is simply

chicken and rice. My favorite has mushrooms, onions, cheese, chicken and

rice. I just pick out all the protein and if I have room left I eat some of

the

rest.

I lost three pounds on this trip. Got to use a pool one night. I made sure

I had two protein drinks per day. I drink the lemon iced tea in the morning

and the Fuzzy Navel before bed. I tried it the other way around and stayed

awake until 5 am one morning. I love these drinks and am sorry some of you

hate them. I asked for samples when I ordered them but the person on the

phone was new and she did not do it. So, I will stick with these two flavors.

A waitress heard me whining about not being able to have diet pepsi and she

brought me over a free baby glass with 2 inches of diet Pepsi. I let it rest

in my mouth while all the bubbles released and then swallowed it. It is

never like you remember it and I guess I can go another 5 months before I steal

a sip from my husband.

Anyone else going to LV next week for an appointment with Dr. K?

Hi Marla,

I don't know what LV means but I have an appointment with Dr K. in Delano

(LV???) on Wed the 20th July, & this is my 9 month post-op anniversary.
