Guest guest
I don't know nothing but I wouldn't ask for " expectations. " You could be setting yourself up for something, good or bad. Personally, I intend to go about my business on that fateful day when I start the treatment (in two weeks) and try to " let the spirit lead. " Or, more understandable to western European culture, and in the words of that preeminent star of stage, screen and song, Doris Day, Que Sera Sera. But that's just me. My wisdom is by no mean infallible and my unsolicited advice is by no means universally welcome. its me, Kent, as in iamkent and on the internet I'm at the .mac site, i.e., .me. Guest guest
Don't ask me or my Doctors why but when I took my 1st through 15th shot I actually felt better. It was the Dang Ribavirin that has caused all my problems. Oh sure I felt hot and the first couple of weeks had very slight night sweats. Nothing major and took nothing except my sleeping pills because that became a problem within 1 week. You may very well feel nothing like me As far as the itching goes I noticed the better I eat the less itching I had and again at 22 weeks thanks to the Ribavirin I am a mess with Psoriasis. The itching is so bad some days all I can do is lay in bed on ice paks. Remember I have advanced liver disease and am on the maximum dosage for both meds. Now at 22 weeks of 28...don't ask. I will say my husband has to monitor my shots and pills and food to make sure I am doing things right. I am end stage liver disease with many complications from it so don't worry you'll probably never get that bad. The healthier you are and the better you eat (all fresh foods nothing processed) The better you will do. I am a minor miracle because my liver is also decompensated (but healing) and I was virus negative at week 5. Guest guest
Hi , I remember feeling flu-like aches and having mild night sweats after injection; but that only lasted the first few weeks and it was very tolerable. My doctor suggested I take Tylenol preventatively when I injected. I don't know if the itching is from the interferon or good old dry winter skin. Try slathering on some lotion; hopefully that will help?Wishing you the best on your healing journey,LeighHey Everybody,I just took my first shot about an hour ago. I am wondering if I will feel any side effects in the next couple hours. Right now I am feeling very itchy. But I don't know if that has anything to do with the shot. Guest guest
, its not uncommon to feel better while on tx,, until you get anemic, sometimes one does feel better.. I knew my constant fibro aches were better initially on tx too..but the body aches changed.. Guest guest
congrats on starting tx. a few hours after my 1st shot i gat a bad case of the shivers but slept it off. that was the only time i had any real effects and i am going on shot 12. my biggest complaint is being grumpy for a couple of day after a shot and a little bit of a stomache ache. nothing i can't deal with. it won't be so bad, you'll see.
