Guest guest
Welcome Catriella, I live in the Fingerlakes region of N.Y. Too far for you, but my prayers are with you in finding a clean farm nearby where you live. My advice is, if you find a farm that you can travel to reasonably, ask a lot of questions, most dairies get their milk tested regularly for bacteria. Take a tour of the operation, if you feel yukky about it, don't buy the milk. Hopefully someone near you will email in with some suggestions. Perhaps there is a goat milk operation near you! Happy farm fresh milk hunting!!! Glad you are taking the healthy steps!!!! Rose Marie
Guest guest
Hello, answer to your Question, you can't be sure.. until..you have a relationship with the farmer...get to know them..tell them your concerns. and then buy their milk..Farmers are very nervious right now, because of all the fed. gov't involvement. or..LOL you could buy 1 good milking Saanen goat and have up to 2 gallons a day from your own goat..thats what we did..but now we have alot more goats..(22) Good luck !! in PA
