Guest guest
... I am so happy for you. I was thinking about the " pregnancy " you will be going through as you wait for this little one. I know that even the few months we waited for our boys felt interminable. One thing that did help was some adoption poetry that I found. In thinking about you today, I found this little poem on the internet... and perhaps it will carry some comfort for you. I wish that I had Scrapbooked a journal of the waiting. We have some lovely scrapbooks for the boys that I created after they came to us. I encourage you... that if you aren't into scrapbooking... that you consider it. This is my first year of scrapbooking and I have to say that it brings continuity to the pictures and events of my life! The boys love their personal scrapbooks (thank you Bobbe!). My Child Meditations of a New Mom My child, I carried you in my heart before you were even born And dared to dream that you were real. My child, I carried your picture with me (-- think about getting a copy of the sonogram!) since the day I received it, And dared to love a child I was yet to meet. My child, I carried you in my arms at last, and gazed in helpless wonder at your face, And dared to lose my heart to you. And now, my child, a dream fulfilled, a prayer answered, a family created, I have dared to become a mom. And so now, my precious child, I shall carry you home.
