The Meaning of College- your grin for the day!

I finally found out last night why we are paying the big bucks for

Chas to go to a private college. She has learned to slide down two

consecutive flights of stairs on a mattress,in the freshman dorm. In

honor of the approaching hurricane, which will still be category 1

when it passes her school, they took a road trip to Wal Mart, where

they bought ponchos and galoshes. I didn't think they sold galoshes

in Texas....Presumably they slide downstairs faster in the ponchos?

She has also proved the exception to the freshman 15- she's actually

lost weight, her size 3's are getting loose. Have to feed her up when

she comes home again. Apparently all our prayers have paid off, she

is happy and doing well. Just thought yall might like to know that

mattress bobsledding is still alive and well in Texas colleges.
