Although it was not cheap it will pay for itself in about 3 years compared to the purified water I was buying. I can control the amount of alkalinity. I drink a ph of 8.5 but it will produce up to 10. 8.5 has been sufficient (along with correct diet) to keep me alkaline. This was a crucial step in cancer treatment. The minerals that are thrown off are acid forming, and yes the plants do like them. The water also becomes very oxygenated. Tastes great.
