However, the doctor around here that does DS hasn't done any ds surgeries since moving here. He did them in NY and then came here. His nurse says they do the rny, lap band, and a sleeve. The sleeve is not the ds, right? I thought they did some sort of sleeve as a 2 stage procedure for the smo that were considered high risk. The nurse said they do this first and if the weight loss gets stalled, they will convert the surgery to an RNY - Wait a minute. She has told them she is only interested in the ds. So how does the ds and the sleeve have anything to do with each other? Any info would be great. Maybe I'll bring my mom into Dr. K's fold! Thanks. le I'm getting switched on 7/5/05!
