The Lupus Foundation of America is offering a free webcast of its public and professional education programs on the " State of the Art Approaches from Lupus Experts " on October 29, live from the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City The programs aim to educate physicians, individuals with lupus, and their families on the latest advances in the management and treatment of lupus. Lupus experts will discuss genetics, skin disease, renal disease, and clinical challenges of lupus, including osteoporosis, atherosclerosis and pregnancy. Two separate programs are scheduled for Saturday, October 29 -- one for health professionals and another for individuals with lupus, their families and friends. A program for health professionals will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p m. Eastern Time. The target audience is specialists in nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, immunology, and internal medicine. The afternoon program from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Eastern TIme is for individuals with lupus and their families.
