Guest guest
Ann Marie, Way to go on your great workout this morning...That was great that you didn't let your hubby pull you apart. I was planning on doing my Abs/Glutes tape this morning but ended up shoveling snow instead. (I just love winter...) I will definitely do my workout tonight. Guest guest
Thanks Bev! That was the first time that hubby did that to me, I surprised myself by being able to hold tight. Sorry about all the shovelling. From what I've heard we're REALLY going to have a snowy Winter. But hey - it's great exercise and Tae- Bo has gotten us in great shape to handle it! Guest guest
Thanks Elena! It was the coolest thing! I didn't expect him to do it and it was a neat surprise. Hmmmmmm, maybe it'll spark his interest and he'll try the instructional tape again. Guest guest
I have AL1 and AL2 but I thought they were both all cardio. Help You may have the *new* AL1 and 2. The old ones were replaced for some reason. I can't remember if there is floorwork on the new AL1 and 2, but I know someone here will know! Guest guest
Mich, Good for you for doing AL1! That's the thing I actually like about the floorwork. (can't believe I said that!) It forces you to be aware of what you're doing with your body. I know the cardio moves require that too, but because of the intensity of the workout it takes 100% concentration. You have to be tightening the muscles at the right time for it to be beneficial. So not only is floorwork benefical for our bodies, it's beneficial for our minds too. When I first started out I could only do like 3 or 4 of them and stopped because I just couldn't move anymore! If I can do at least one set, I'm satisfied because I know one day I'll be able to do two sets. BTW - you know the moves where you're laying on your side lifting your leg, just before the inner-thigh move? I have a hard time focusing on squeezing my glutes. My foot is flexed and I'm trying to squeeze like nne is, but I just don't feel it in my butt enough. Do you have any suggestions on that one? Guest guest
I find it truly amazing that we all have difficulties with different moves. What is so hard for one person is easy for the next... It just shows and proves how everybody is their each and own!! Darcy - who's stomache actually looks like it has a lot of muscle, but seems to prove me wrong when it's time to touch those toes in AL5!! > I still have trouble with that move where you hold your leg up with > your foot higher than your knee and pull your knee into your chest > like a heartbeat! You know, I have trouble with that move, too! I just don't feel it in my butt! I've tried doing it laying totally flat on the ground and I feel it in my butt a little more that way. But, everyone in the tape is kind of up on their elbows! Anyone else have any suggestions for that move?
Guest guest
I had a lot of trouble with that move as well. By that part of the tape my legs felt like Jell-O. I'm sure that even my dog could have pulled me apart at that point. I'll have to work on that one. I'm hoping that by this time next year even couldn't pull me apart. Look out i'm actually looking forward to working out a whole year in advance, I guess I'm hooked.
