Guest guest
> What is thinking when he doesn't stretch us out for this > one anyway?? Darcy, Way to go on another week completed I just finished AL5 and was thinking the exact same thing about the stretching...LOL! Of all the tapes for him to forget to stetch us out before or after the workout....this is the one we need it the most! I was considering joining all of you who will be continuing this challenge into the new year, but I don't think I'll be able to do it, especially as my long runs continue to increase in distance! This workout doesn't do much to help the soreness in my legs on my " non-running " days...LOL! But, I am happy to say that I am glad that we did this challenge and I am not nearly as afraid of AL5 as I once was. It's still an incredibly challenging workout, but I am noticing improvement and will still add this workout in every once in a while. I just can't commit to once a week with this marathon training who thinks AL5 is the workout that is the most " mentally " challenging and therefore works my will the most
Guest guest
I did the Abs/Glutes tapes today. I had to skip the past 2 Wednesdays because that dang fatigue hit me again. I took a week off of working out during Thanksgiving week because I just could not move. Ugh. Each time I do this workout I feel stronger and stronger. The side ab crunches we do lying on the floor have helped me improve my balancing moves even more. I've found that when you're able to concentrate on squeezing your side, it makes the balancing so much easier and doable. Ann Marie - who needs to get her blood checked again > It's hear again!!! It was a good combo. I mentioned to Michele about why does include more warm-up and stretching during the Basics, than during a advanced. Her theory, is that probably feels that since we were doing an advanced tape, that we had sense enough and the knowledge to stretch before and after. She may have a point. Guest guest
> I've found that when you're able to > concentrate on squeezing your side, it makes the balancing so much > easier and doable. Ann-Marie, This is one of the things I've been really concentrating on since I came back from LA because of what taught me about the abs and balance. I had " heard " say how important it was to hold your abs tight to help improve your balance a million times, but I didn't really " get it " until I had standing there with me one on one showing me what he meant! I noticed it today during a lot of the moves, especially that balance move at the end of AL5. I usually wobble around on that one because I'm so fatigued, but I really concentrated on keeping my abs contracted and I had no problems holding my balance today. You'll notice that when you start to fall off balance, it's because you've let you stomach muscles go! I think what happens is that when we get tired, we just forget about our stomachs and that's why our balance seems so bad! Also, if you are trying to do a move too quickly, you forget to concentrate on your abs and just start going through the motions and it's much harder to balance! who has noticed a big difference in her balance since coming home from LA

Thanks for the reminder. It absolutely makes a difference when you hold those ABS!! Peggy
Guest guest
, It took me almost a year to realize what I had to do to conquer the balancing moves. The new instructional tape had set me on the right track. Now that I've added the floorwork to my routine, the side ab crunches have really put it into perspective, both physically and mentally. I've found that once I'm able to " feel " how to do the move correctly, it really gets etched into my memory. I can totally focus on the proper muscles to contract. There are so many other moves that include this technique such as the kicks and the side knee raises. If you concentrate on squeezing your abs on the side for all of these moves, the rest will just fall into place. hmmmmm, where have we heard that before?!? I just love that after almost 2 years of doing Tae-Bo, there is still so much to learn! These small revelations make the workouts brand new for me. The more I keep doing it, the more enlightened I become on each of the moves. Tell me what other workout does that? IT'S GREAT!!! Ann Marie - who tried BL12 today and really liked it! > > > I've found that when you're able to > > concentrate on squeezing your side, it makes the balancing so much > > easier and doable. > > Ann-Marie, > > This is one of the things I've been really concentrating on since I > came back from LA because of what taught me about the abs and > balance. The important this is that you are recovering (albeit slowly) and exercising. The day will come soon when working out won't be such a struggle. That was a clever solution to your time crunch. I bet customer service will come through for you here. They are very good about making the customer happy when the tape is damaged.
