Subject: I have a surgery date...WOW

Got back from Delano last night. Long trip. It was nice though, I

got to spend some good time with my hubby. It was real muggy in

Delano even at 8:30 p.m. First thing we did was go and find Dr. K's

office. We walked through the WLS wing first and then we found his

office. Then we went to find our motel. First thing hubby did was

take of his clothes. It was that hot. We stayed in the Travel Inn.

$40.00, fridge, free HBO and Showtime, HARD bed, no coffee maker,

sink falling off. Not where we'll stay for surgery. My husband was

so awesome. I am so lucky. He asked questions and had a great sense

of humor for the whole 36 hr trip. Dee was very informative. I have

to say though that I have done so much research and read so many

posts that I didn't really learn anything new. I think that's good

this time, right? LOL I didn't think that I was gonna have to take

off clothes for an exam though with Dr. K so my legs were NOT

shaved. LOL He said he didn't care, he didn't wear that silly bow

tie for nothing. We had a great visit with him even though he was

very busy and on-call too. We didn't feel like he was in a hurry at

all which was nice. Everyone was nice and polite like people say.

And now I have a surgery date of August 30. WOW Providing of course

that I am not denied by the insurance company. I'm very excited. My

husband felt much better about the surgery after the training with

Dee and even better after meeting Dr. K. I'm glad he went with me.
