Guest guest
How do I tell if that's what gave me the pneumonia? Last week, I went on a 1200 mile trip, with problems all the way. It didn't really hurt me physically that I could tell, but I got home on Wednesday midnight and was in the CCU Friday morning! At about 2 am Friday morning, I was awakened by constant and hard shaking from my hips up. My daughter called an ambulance that took me to the hospital, not even waiting to take my vitals until they were under way. My blood pressure was 60/30 at one point but I don't know how low it really got. X-rays showed pneumonia in my left lung. The last time I was in the hospital, the pneumonia was in the left lung, but my symptoms were a little different, and it was announced as MTX related, this one wasn't. I've never had pneumonia or any other bronchial problems but now twice in one year makes me wonder. I've been taking MTX since 1990 and am now taking 1.2cc/week. Oh yeah, my white blood count was about 17,000 when I got there and about 11,000 and dropping when I was released. All this time I didn't feel sick, but since I got out, I'm almost out of energy and definitely more pain. I hate it when they take all my meds away and don't feel concerned that I'll suffer from no prednisone and other meds. Dennis
