Great stuff, of course we can do it together, I need some advice on eating

healthy!!! Does anyone have any recipes they can forward on??? The good

advantage I have is we are coming into summer so it is easy to eat

healthier. In winter I eat alot because I need hot food which can mean

greasy and unhealthy.

by the way - i meant to say good luck in your exam I am sure you will ace

it, just think about Barb's message, to get yourself back on track, do a

roundhouse kick and you will feel better. I am taking that advice on board

when I do my Bachelor of Arts (Communications) next year part time - off

campus.

Jay, you are doing GREAT! You made two very big steps today - doing the

studio basic and following weight watchers. You can't ask more of yourself.

I know achieving your long-term fitness goals seems a long way away, but

think of it this way. You are achieving your short-term (in effect your

long-term, too) goals every day that you exercise and eat healthy. This is a

life-long journey. Every single day matters. You are doing exactly what you

need to do. Keep it up.

you are more than halfway there by getting your mind involved

now hide or throw out your scale!

only determines your future as much as you believe in it

Jay, Congrats on getting through the basic! You are on your way! You did a

good thing by signing up for weight watchers. Learning how to eat is one of

the most important tools in life and not just for weight management. I speak

from experience as a binge eater who has slowed down to snacking on sugary

cakes and the occasional French onion dip.

Look at the last sentence you wrote. " Getting healthy seems an awful long way

away " . First of all it is not. You can be healthy at a heavier weight. Second

of all this is a journey but it doesn't have a destination. It is along an

infinite trail that you will walk your entire life. That is an awful long

time, but at some point within the next few months to a year that exercise

will make it better, exercise and eating right can be fun and once you are in

a pattern they become a lot less of a chore and more a part of you, a part

that you like. When you wait for thinness like a kid waits for next Christmas

it makes the wait unbearable and the process that gets you there unthinkable.

There is no hurry to loose anything. Take each day as it comes and do the

best you can. Forgive yourself when you have an extra piece of cake (OK, now

I am easing my own mind). Forgive yourself if you couldn't fit in a workout

that day. Make this a pleasant journey!

Jay,

try not to get intimidated by the scale! You are doing a great job with Tae-Bo so far and I have no doubt that you will conquer weight watchers as well! Keep up the awesome work!!
