Guest guest Posted March 25, 2005 Report Share Posted March 25, 2005 It appears Yahoo's intent is so they can actually advertise in every single message, rather than the ad popping up separately every other message...needs more space for each message but they probably have a group of eggheads that were trying to figure out how to possibly make money when they have this entire pool of users that use their free message boards. I could yahoo my e groups in my sleep I knew the board by heart - now I have to look around - yeah, I know - lazy - but still -it wasn't broke, don't fix it -why does everything have to be " new and improved " ?? I was perfectly happy with the way things were and like you could do yahoo groups in my sleep. But I've been playing with it and there are a couple things I like better. For example where they give the first line or two of a post...It helps, especially if I'm wanting to " go back " and review a post. Another thing...I discovered playing around with the changes...when your composing your post they have a " preview " tab that lets you see what your post will look like when posted. Sometimes this can be helpful...now if they would only add a spell checker I would be one happy camper! I just wish there was a way we could select the font without allowing all attachments. I like the cleanness of the " arial " font.
