I'm a mile off the highway, and there is a Starbucks in the Target at my exit. I'll meet you for a mini visit if you'd like, and the time is right. Betsy Covington, Louisiana Moving to Las Vegas I am moving to Las Vegas in about 3 weeks...I will miss Florida... Even though I have only been here by the time I move... Nearly 5 months...My life shifted in another direction...So I'm coming back to the west coast...I know people have mentioned that certain DS monthly meetings don't always go as schedualed...Does anyone attend the Vegas meetings that post on this board? I want to start going to the meetings and start reconnecting with others that have had the DS...If anyone does go to that particular meeting? Can you contact me?Or is there anyone I can contact once I get settled in town? Doesnt Dr.K have an office in Vegas? It's going to be good to be closer to home...Anyway driving back across the country with the dog and cat...The dog isent going to mind much..But my cat will be mad as heck... she adores her life in Florida...She has brought 2 black snakes into the house and tons of lizards..She is always on the hunt...Now shes moving into a house that already has 2 other dogs...Oh shes going to hate me..LOL...Anyway Good Night All its late out here... Even though I live in NM, I have been to 2 of the Las Vegas support meetings. One only had about 6 people, while the other had between 25-30 people. At the first Vegas meeting I attended, I meet Ed and (I think is her name). At both meetings, Dr. K showed one of his Lap DS videos - wow, at first you want to close your eyes, but then it is just facinating to watch! You realize how talented Dr. K is to do the DS! Dr. K doesn't actually have an official office in Vegas. He is friends with a doc there and is allowed to use his office. Good luck with the moving ordeal! I love Las Vegas and would move there in a heartbeat but my husband hates the desert. As it is, we live in a semi-arid desert in the East County area of San Diego and that's as hot as my DH will accept. Me, I LOVE hot weather! And Las Vegas is so much more affordable than San Diego! Let us know how you're doing once you're settled in. Are you buying a house or renting? Hugs! We are renting out our Sarasota house.Then I am moving in with a close friend in Vegas.. Once I'm there awhile and more firmilar.. We are planning on buying...But as much as I have made some really good friends out here in my short time in Florida...And I will miss it terribly...I am a west coast person...I know the desert is going to be OMG hot!!! This moist muggy air out here...Really isent for me...The winter here was spectacular! I see why during the winter months Florida is over runned with New Yorkers...Its a great place and the people I have met here I will never forget...Thank you for your well wishes and of course I will continue to be active in the group.I will let everyone know once I am settled in and back online...
