Guest guest
Ditto what Judy said! We had to add Tenex (guanfacine)or Clonedine to get rid of the tics and it also helped him sleep (which was wonderful!) > > > My son (10) has been taking Prozac for 8-9 months now and we have had great success with it helping his OCD. He has not had one tic since he started it, and he says the OCD things have gone away. His OCD is pretty mild (considering what I have read from others on here) anyway.....he would have to count to certain numbers in his head and touch things a certain way. I would not say it has helped his overall mood as he is still very moody and dramatic, but we are grateful for what it has helped. Would be nice if it would help with his ADD at school, too. He has not had trouble sleeping, thankfully. I have heard of using melatonin for sleep, but we have not used that with our son. > > > > Good luck to you and your son.
