Guest guest
Hi Jen: Yes, I am on Mtx and Enbrel, along with other meds, and find that I bruise and bleed much more easily. I am fair skinned, so bruises were always more noticeable on me, but now if I any bump into anything, I bruise up. They do fade, though, within a couple of weeks, and then others appear. Also, if I get scratched, I will bleed - my skin seems quite fragile - I have a cut on my right forearm now from scratching it along the top of a cardboard box that looks like I was cut by a knife. I have horses and there are times after feeding hay that I will suddenly notice blood on my arms from getting stuck with hay stems. I believe that the Mtx is the culprit, and I have also been on and off Prednisone with flares, so that may also be part of it. These cuts have even caused scars - but they do heal up in a normal time frame. It's just one of those wonderful side effects that these meds have, I guess. Hobbling around, cuts and bruises, aren't we lovely? lol Hope this helps. Kathe in CA --- Jen <nettazig@...> wrote: > I have a question for you all about DMARDs.
