You know what, since the time change Allie is falling asleep a lot

earlier. It's not been uncommon for her to zonk out at 7pm and sleep

straight through, and I don't give her any supps or meds for sleep.

Also, if she's been that sleep deprived, she's probably worn out as

much as you are.

Just a quick note from a mom who uses melatonin with her 8 yr old at same dose,

if your daughter had difficulty sleeping with night waking, and you've just

started melatonin, she may be just getting the rest she needs. We found it had

a less profound effect after a couple of weeks.

HeY everyone,

So Ella was driving me crazy and herself, at night. She was taking 2

hours to fall asleep, and giggling and babbling to herself quite

loudly, and then when she finallywould fall asleep, shed wake up like

4-5 hours later...

So I got some melatonin, and gave her some 2 nights ago, and she slept

within 20 min and through the night...

Gave her another.25 mg last night same thing..but she coughed a lot in

her sleep (maybe irritation from the melatonin?)

She had a great day at school, and has been really quite calmer since

the melatonin...

actually she is passed out right now...I dont think Ive ever seen her

sleep so soundly...but its only like 6pm, and i am scared she is

getting thrown off by the melatonin, could it be making her too sleepy?

She doesnt seem drosy, but she is so knocked out I cant wake her, I

feel bad to wake her, I feel like she maybe getting sleep like she

never has, and I am sure its good for her. I am just worried that she

may get off schedule...

Ive been giving her .25 mg around 8:30 pm for two nights..

Should I keep giving her...or hold off and see if there is a change?

Thanks in advance,

Aimee
