Guest guest
Hi all, Here is the information on two books on OCD for teens. I got them at the OCF conference last summer. I have not read either, but am planning to. They are: 1) Touch and Go Joe: An Adolescent's Experience of OCD by Joe Wells. This is a nonfiction account of his own struggles by a young man who lives in the UK. 2) Not as Crazy as I Seem by Harrar. This is a novel about a teen boy with OCD. Not sure what the author's credentials are. If you are interested but can't find them in the library or on Amazon, you might try the IOCDF (International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation) website. I believe there were also several books by young women. There's a lot more out there than when I was diagnosed and The Boy Who Couldn't Stop Washing (Judith Rapoport, MD) was about the only one. That book might also be good for older kids if there is a more updated edition available. Best wishes to all of you, (mom w/OCD, 9 yo dd w/OCD)
