Guest guest
Just an FYI to everyone .... I talked to my husband tonight, and he agreed that scheduling an eval with a speech therapist would be good. At this point, I know a lot more about autism than he does, but I coordinate everything with medical situations anyway, so I can talk to the ped and the specialist about my concerns and what I'm witnessing. Some things seem to be " slipping away " , and other behaviors seem to be increasing -- both going in the wrong direction. I'm continuing my research and working with her, and I will call the ped, ask who they recommend (probably someone at St. Chris's again), and will take it from there. It's not so much needing his " permission " , as needing and wanting his support and cooperation, and I will need his participation depending upon what they find and suggest for treatments. Thanks everyone for your advice and feedback, I've been thinking about all of it. Maybe we'll find out that she's okay, maybe she just needs a little help .... maybe it's autism. Will keep you posted. regards, Kim
