Guest guest
I agree with the others- go slowly. We have been weaning down on the zoloft for several years now by 12.5 mg each cut and keeping him at that dose for 6 weeks at least before going lower and have had no side effects at all. I think a good rule of thumb is down at the same speed/ way as up. We were on 37.5 mg zoloft for the last couple years(age 13) and now are on 25. I too am chicken to stop but at the same time want to. He did not get theraputic on the way up til we hit 100 mg so I sincerely doubt this tiny dose is keeping the Ocd away, but what if.........I am as bad as him! Guest guest
Another Zoloft question - we upped the dose on MOnday to 1 1/2 pills (so 37.5 mg) from 1 pill. When upping the dose has anyone experienced tiredness/weakness? I'm not noticing it during the day, but last night and tonight he had hockey practice/game and I noticed a bit of difference there. And if anyone has experienced this, is it short lived? He is in State finals this weekend and he is thinking the Zoloft is making him tired and wanting to go back to one pill. Guest guest
Dear -  I have heard that to be the case with Zoloft, in fact her doc told us to start her at night just in case she got tired. My daughter (true perhaps to her contrary nature) instead couldn't sleep, so we used to dose her in the morning.  M Subject: zoloft question To: Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 2:03 AM  Another Zoloft question - we upped the dose on MOnday to 1 1/2 pills (so 37.5 mg) from 1 pill.
