Guest guest
After weeks of waiting for blood test orders and the Cunninham test kit and weeks of dreading bringing my 7 year old daughter (who panics at the thought of an ambulance or hospital), we finally brought her yesterday and she was simply amazing. We distracted her with a movie on a portable dvd player while in the waiting room. But once in the lab, she put her arm out willingly for the needle and watched the blood being drawn with relative ease and curiosity. In addition to that, she walked through our mudroom twice. It has been contaminated and she has been avoiding it for well over a month. She also went out shopping with me. Although she hasn't stated it directly, I think she has been avoiding stores for quite a while, too. I don't know what caused these small victories. In terms of ERP, we haven't been concentrating on the mudroom (it was too high on the fear scale), but she did a little bit of ERP with it the other day (2 x one minute of jumping up and down in the doorway). We did start her on inositol a week ago. Just wanted to share. I know the success stories on here give me bits of hope. Hopefully this will do the same for someone else.
